When this family from the United States first contacted Nova Espero, they had already been trying to become parents for four years.

Four years is a long time to hold onto hope. It is long enough to have celebrated and grieved more times than anyone should have to. Long enough to have questioned whether it would ever happen. Long enough that the decision to try again — one more time, a different way — was not made lightly.

In July 2026, the Nova Espero team attended a professional event hosted by Lita Clinic, bringing together embryologists, reproductive endocrinologists, coordinators and specialists working in assisted reproduction.

The event showed how Ukrainian reproductive medicine has continued to work, develop and protect patients’ programs throughout the war, while introducing new technologies and practical safeguards for IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine.

Gestational surrogacy in Ukraine is a modern form of third-party reproduction in which an embryo created through IVF is transferred to a surrogate mother who carries the pregnancy for the intended parents.

Unlike traditional surrogacy, the surrogate mother has no genetic link to the child. This distinction makes the process legally clearer, emotionally safer and more predictable for intended parents who are considering a surrogacy program in Ukraine.
